We have recently held a training session for the entire GCT team by one of our most regular collaborators, PROISOTEC (in this case by the hand of PROISOTEC Energia).
Taught by Marc Masó and Joan Gutierrez, we have enjoyed a master session on Energy Certifications (EEC), facilities and renewable energy, where among others we have reviewed the process and management of the EEC, as well as the most common solutions and their impact on consumption and energy demand.
We have studied real projects and the possible improvements that could be applied, always looking for energy improvement and technical and economic feasibility.
We discussed the relationship between the designer and the energy manager, and the importance of maintaining a constant and continuous feedback from the first steps of a project, starting as early as possible with simulations and energy calculations that should help to make the most appropriate project decisions.
The study and calculation of construction solutions, installations, and energy saving mechanisms (active and, above all, passive), should be a collaborative and continuous process that should allow us to make conscious decisions to achieve the goal of obtaining an efficient and as sustainable as possible project.
Both GCT Arquitectes and PROISOTEC are aware of this and, for this reason, we collaborate closely and carry out these sessions that will help us to continue improving and offering quality and environmentally responsible projects.
